I couldn't find one with an HDMI output. All the car video players have their own tiny screen. And don't get me started on analog video!

Sounds like you agree with me then, get a dedicated bluray player!

Never saw any of those, at a reasonable price & size.

I bought a Sony for about $50 at Walmart when my jensen dvd player died. They plug into AC and are very compact. You can use it in your house also when not RVing...

Q: Why did I buy a DVD (not Bluray) player to replace my broken DVD player?
A: Expense. I am cheap and I just don't care much about the increased resolution of the newer format. New Blueray players and disks cost more. New DVDs are dirt cheap and widely available. You can buy a DVD for $1.00 in a thrift store. "New" releases are in the Warfart bargain bin for $3.00-$5.00. And the library is free. I have a 20 year collection of DVDs, about 700 of them are backed up on our home's 10 terabyte network drive. For traveling, I fill my laptop's hard drive, then hook up the laptop to the RV TV, and watch on rainy days. Since I am watching on a pretty small screen, I could care less about the higher res.

Bluray players play dvds and cds...and don't cost much more than dvd players if at all.
Also the dvd resolution is a perfect match for the old CRT cube tubes. If you have a flat panel then most likely it matches best to bluray resolution, not to mention 4k sets that are sold nowadays.
