    Tire Link Sensor

I tried searching the forum but was not able to find a thread on if it is ok to leave the sensors on the valve stems when the trailer is in storage for 4-6 weeks at a time. Do you remove the sensor to preserve the battery life? I typically remove them but forgot to this time.

    Thanks,

Mine are on 24/7. Haven’t lost much other than a tenth of a volt in almost a year. You are good.

Thanks! Saves me a trip back to the storage unit.

As long as we're talking tpms, what are you using? After many years with TireMinder two sensors just stopped working. I've changed batteries, reprogrammed the whole system but cannot get 2 sensors to transmit. I'm doing research to see if there are new bells & whistles in the tpms field. Thanks for any input you can offer.

I have TireLinc and it is alright. I like the display of temp and pressure. The comm module in the basement struggles to communicate with our smartphone in the cab. The alert portion is very weak at alerting your phone. If I move the comm module to higher ground, say in the bedroom closet it would talk more efficiently to my wife who checks pressures while we are driving. I have had it connected for nearly a year now and the sensor batteries are still strong and the brain has not lost memory of the sensors. I’ll stick with it since the new Ram OEM TPMS is fairly expensive, doesn’t do temp and has range issues as well.

Would I do the TireLinc again? Yes I would.
