    Cabinet doors discoloured over winter

Went and got our Reflection out of storage today, to find 3 cabinet doors and the fridge front wooden panel are badly discoloured, almost like a bleached look. It's a darker colour. We bought the unit new in late fall and only had it home a couple weeks to put all our stuff in it, then it went to storage for the winter. The blinds were all fully drawn for the winter, so there was no sun on any of the cabinets. Reported it to the dealer today, and was told they will send someone out to have a look. Curious if anybody has experienced this and if you were able to get it resolved.

Ours is a 2019 model, and we have never had any issues with our wood. But have read that some have had. We do keep ours under 3 sided storage which does keep the sun off of the trailer 80% of the time.

Here is something I found before with some of our house door finishes which had clouding after refinishing:

    Clouding and Fading

"Clouding is a condition more commonly associated with lacquer finishes than it is with polyurethane, and it can occur on any part of a cabinet exposed to moisture or humidity. The finish turns milky or grayish, and in extreme cases, it may completely hide the wood grain. Lacquer clouds because, although it has a hard surface, water can still seep through it, and the effect is somewhat the same as if you dropped oil into water. The materials don't mix, and the water can't escape and evaporate, so the condition persists until you do something about it."

Did you have your trailer ventilated during the winter, or everything closed up tight?

Humidity can build up very easily over winter (I know, it's not much humidity in winter, but surprise! it will build up).

The sun beats on it during the day and will actually condense the humidity and can cloud finishes and cause bubbling of interior wall finishes if too high.

Makes you wonder if they ran out of the normal lacquer finish and improvised because of supply shortages.
