    Fuel Shortage

I don’t want this to trigger a political discussion or open this to political commentary, please.
Has anyone heard any rumblings about potential fuel shortages, seen any evidence of shortages, or have any other pertinent info? Thank you for your input.

Honestly, there's enough threads going about the price and availability of fuel, we don't really need another one. It changes nothing and just induces useless ramblings and political thrusts. It will be there, or it won't. No sense feeding the paranoia. JMO of course.

Please share any links to fuel supply discussions that you’ve found. I can find plenty discussion of fuel prices and their impacts, but little discussion (in the 6 or 7 forums I’ve looked at) about possible fuel shortages in the next 6 months. Thanks.

I just did a Google search on "is there a fuel shortage in the us" and got a lot of hits from reputable outlets. Sometimes first-hand information is better than "has anyone heard." The answer is, "Yes," there are concerns - especially in the northeast... where we're heading...

"Possible", "may happen", "what if", all the dithering in the world will make no impact whatsoever on whether there's a shortage or not. Why wind yourself up over something over which you have no control. All it contributes to is just more FUD. JMO of course.

There are several blogs and news cast videos on the diesel fuel shortage on YouTube.

While I may not have any control over if a fuel shortage may or may not happen, I certainly have control over how I may plan trips, deciding on if, where, or when to go, the risk factors, etc. Isn't that what a "RV trip planning" forum is for?

But my point was that this is all just speculation. How do you plan a trip around what "MAY" happen? If this thread were for actual shortages/shutdowns, actual reported shortages/shutdowns, and not speculation, then it would serve a purpose. But no one can plan a trip around "potential" issues. Actual station shut downs, that would be a real thing and deserve to be reported.

But that is simply how I feel about it. I promise not harp on any more about it.
