So glad to hear this mod was a success . Our new 2022 Norcold 2118ST is a cooling Nightmare, what a piece of #### for a retail price of $5500.
I want to do the same dual compressor 12v conversion to mine , but Iam located in San Diego.
Do you use any additional circulating fans inside the fridge ?

The install comes with a twin fan setup for the inside of the fresh food compartment and attaches to the cooling fins inside the fresh food part of the fridge. There was no added fan for the freezer section and that really doesn't need it I guess. Yea, that would be a super long trip from your area to Northern Indiana, so your best bet is to order the complete kit and have it shipped to you. If you fee like you don't have the capabilities to install it yourself, from what I understand they can help you locate an installer which may or may not be really close to where you live....but probably a LOT closer than Indiana. Hope this helps.

We keep our 375 RES in the desert and use it from November to March. It's always a struggle to keep the temps inside the Norcold 2118 cold enough to be safe. Ice cream is never hard. I've plans now to order a Dutch Aire 12 v cooling unit and install it myself. The problem is access to the back of the fridge. It's really tight in the middle section of our rig. There is an island in the middle and you have to get the fridge out and OVER the island to work on the back. Unfortunately, a trip to Indiana is out of the question.

Yea, having room to pull it out and work on it for the changover is different for every trailer. Mine was probably pretty easy for them, it took them an hour and forty five minutes from the time they started until it was in place and running/cooling down. I guess we should all be so lucky, but like I said, every trailer's interior layout is different. You'll love it when you get it done and back up and running.
