    Wax front cap?

    Hello,
Is it is a good/bad idea to wax the front cap of our 2021 22RBE? There are 2 materials, both black. The bottom part is embossed with a pattern, the middle and top are smooth and have the decals on it. If not wax, would something like Armor-All offer some UV protection?

A polymer wax would be fine. Carnauba-based wax on older decals doesn't work out so well but yours is new so it might be okay with carnauba.

If you wax it, you will slide through the air with greater ease.

I wax mine. Actually, I wax (or have waxed) the entire rig at least once a year. But my front cap is painted.

I wax the entire rig. However, I use Wash, Wax, All. So, I kind of cheat?

X2 for wash wax all. And it's not cheating, it's being more efficient and time saving for more beer time. Lol

When you wash/wax the rv. Does it do anything for decals that are starting to fade a bit? Do you use a power buffer?

Many people recommend using 303 protectant on decals - not wax. NEVER use a power buffer on decals.

Just purchased our set up this summer and in the process of waxing the entire rig, it’s stored inside so I don’t have to finish all the same day or weekend. Front cap being hand waxed makes bug removal a breeze after a trip. I use Mcguires wax with a micro soft towel to remove. Switch the removal cloth several times after the wax starts to build up in it.
