I have that same Dura faucet. When you say "deep down in the bowels" are you saying the restrictor is in the fixture base or on the supply line?

I have piece of white plastic in the supply line like @remote1, but I'm not sure if it's a restrictor or a connector. At any rate I can't get it apart.
It's been about six years, now, and my photographic memory has faded. I believe it was somewhere in the base. If it were a single flow restrictor, it would have to be after the mix stage rather than on the supply line side. Again, I wish I had a clearer memory (other than of the plastic shavings... I remember them very well!).

My last TT had this issue but for the toilets. First one then later the other. It turned out that there was a screen in the water inlet that became plugged with plastic shavings from manufacturing. Cleaned them both once, and that was the end of the problem.

Mine is on the mix side; just above the weight. I can barely access mine from under the sink and will probably have to pull the faucet to do anything to the restrictor.

UPDATE: I finally found that my kitchen faucet is a Structured Flow, not a Dura faucet. The spray assembly is supposed to be able to be removed but neither the Installation Instructions nor the Exploded View I found online show how that is done. I have reached out to the company for assistance and will update this if they tell me anything useful. If anyone has a Structured Flow kitchen faucet and has been able to remove the spray assembly, please let me know how you did it. I want to clean the spray assembly before tackling the flow restrictor.
