Generator issue with Multiplus Compact 12/2000

Need some suggestions please. I know there have been others with this issue but I can't seem to find a definitive fix for our situation. Have the Multiplus compact 12/2000 operational. Everything works great other than I have the generator pass thru or lack there of issue. The Momentum 31G is a 30a trailer. The Gen is the Onan 4000. When it transfers to the gen it works for a few seconds the disconnects. Tries to reconnect a few times then goes into fault. I have the UPS disabled in the settings. Most issues I've read here are for the 5500. Suggestions the get the 4000 to pass thru? I don't care at all about the power assist feature. Just need the gen to pass thru so the MP charges the battery and the trailer can run on the gen.

Probably not going to be much help but I'm trying to understand what's happening/how you have it hooked up.

On my unit (50a) with a Onan 5500 the stock transfer switch is still in place. The shore power and geney run to it then from there to the Multiplus and it will pass through normally no matter if its on generator or shore. Sounds like yours is hooked up differently?

    Another thought.

I bought my stuff from Battleborn. I remember a conversation I had with them last fall. I noticed that the multiplus was only charging at about 70/80 amps when it's capable of 125 (minus the 12 volt loads). They mentioned something about settings in the unit that they change when a generator is involved to make sure the multliplus doesn't have any issue with the "dirty" power from the Onan.

I still need call them, they were going to walk me through making some setting changes to see if we could get some of that charging power back. I just haven't had time to do it

Maybe something, maybe nothing, maybe it's baloney, but just throwing it out there.

That is how mine is hooked up as well. Once the generator starts all is well for perhaps a minute then the Multiplus disconnects. It will do this a few times and then go into fault mode. I see some different settings now that I'm going to try.

If what Battleborn told me is correct then that is probably the issue. The onan's are not pure sign wave inverters so I would guess that the power from the onan is tripping a sensor that needs to have its sensitivity lowered. Now what that is I have no idea, I'm just going off what Battleborn told me. Maybe give whoever you bought the inverter from or victron a call and see if they can point you in the right direction.

What fault is it going into? Do you have a screen shot of the error log? The Onan GenSets are typically better than most. You shouldn't have an issue with the 4000. My guess is something isn't right in programming. Screen shot your settings, too.

Perhaps an issue related to floating ground on the genny versus a bonded ground. We have seen those instances before. It would be helpful to know the fault.

Sorry to be so ignorant of these things but I don't see how to retrieve the error codes. I changed all the setting that were suggested in the instructions. Everything ran fine for 30 minutes with both AC's, water heater etc... I thought for sure it was good but when I started turning off the loads it disconnected and would not reconnect. Would not even pass thru shore power. I'm totally lost on it. I'm calling Inverters are us today. Just for conversation sake here's the settings.

This is what I see when it disconnects.

Generator issue with Multiplus Compact 12/2000

First two things that I see, and I am by no means an expert, but 41 volts output on l1 and 61.5 and 61.8 hertz could be a problem.
