    Normal Wiring or Factory Mistake?

Getting ready for a trip and wife ran slides out to load up and clean. Comes and gets me stating the Schwintek slide will not go out. The two rack and pinion slides were out. I checked for blown fuses or trip breaker. All good. What I find is that the factory disconnect switch is off. So my question is shouldn't the power be off to all the slides in the off position? Is this normal or a factory wiring mistake? I just replaced my battery under warranty at 10 months old. Perhaps this is contributing to my battery drain. Anyone else find this on your slides when disconnect switch in off position? Thanks. A wealth of knowledge on this forum.

I also am surprised that any slides worked with the disconnect off. I’ve never tried it. Staying tuned.

Most of the time on Solitude's the Lippert through the frame slides are still active even when the battery is turned off.

Schwintek slides are much more voltage sensitive and are usually disconnected.

The hydraulic slide and AutoLevel pump is wired directly to the battery and has power when the Battery Disconnect Switch is turned to "OFF". Since the Schwintek slide is electric, it would be logical that it is not able to work if the Battery Disconnect Switch is in the "OFF" position.

The slides will work if the trailer is plugged into the truck. Otherwise, the battery switch must be on.
