800 watt Rich Solar kit from Amazon

For all you solar experts out there, what are your thoughts on this kit. Thinking of this.

Looks like a good starter set. It has monocrystalline panels, an MPPT controller, and a fuse.

I would highly recommend changing out the cables from the panels to the charge controller to a larger gauge, based on the length, and the cables to the battery to a larger gauge as well.

All of the ingredients to put together a strong system. Paired with some LiFePo4 batteries and you should be ready to go. As @MoonShadow_1911 says, larger cables would improve performance.

I just stuck my head under the hood of this system. The link does not specify exactly how it is to be installed.
Each panel is 9.8 amps. It comes with a 30 amp inline fuse for the panel wire. That won't do for parallel installation. The only way this can work without blowing the fuse is in a series/parallel configuration. That would make the amps 19.6 amps. The 10 gauge solar wire is fine for this. I do think that the 10 Gauge battery wire is too light. I would like to see 8 or 6 gauge instead. But the controller may not accept a larger wire. In that case it would be best to reduce the length by installing the controller close to the battery. If needed the solar panel wire length could be extended from 10' up to 30'.

You called pretty much what in was thinking. 400 watt series strings paralleled together( 2 x 200 each string).

The trailer is pre-wired from the roof to the front battery area with 10 gauge.

Planned on using that (seriously save a ton of work). Planned on the fuse and a cutoff before the charge controller and similar prior to the batteries with a third set prior to loads coupled with a smart shunt on the negative side. Does that sound like overkill? Thinking of this method because it allows me to isolate each part of the system.

Should work fine.... Only caveat is I am not sure of the controller quality.
I just replaced my factory Jaboni controller with another Victron because the factory Jaboni just could not cut it.
