    Furrion AC freezing up

Just purchased a 2022 Jayco White Hawk 24mbh. We camp in very low humidity (Colorado) and each time we have gone out. The AC freezes up. We have it set at 70 (outside temp is 78) due to having a dog. We return back to the camper and it's 79. The evap coil becomes solid ice. When the AC is running, we have the fan on low and in the rooftop vents (not direct blowing down).

Any tips on how to keep this unit running properly before we get into the heat in the coming weeks?

Yes GD uses Furrion A/C units. As an old A/C repair man I can give you a few reasons for the problem. Evap freezing up is because of 2 things. Low air flow across the coil or low on freon. Low air flow is the most common problem so be sure your filter is good and clean first. I'd try to run it in HI speed and see if it does the same.Make sure you have good air flow out of all of the ceiling vents.Since its only 78 out and you're trying to maintain 70 in the coach, the A/C isn't doing much work so there is a good possibility it has a freon problem. Warm weather will be the key. Its hard to check out these units when its cool out.

Check that the freeze sensor is placed properly. Then make sure you're not running your fan on auto. I had freezing issues camping in dry Arizona when I ran the fan on auto. I just came back from a week in SoCal where the humidity is much higher. I didn't run the AC a ton, but I didn't have a hint of icing either.
