Brand new Furrion Refrigerator not working in Reflection 303RLS

    Hello all,
I brought home a new Reflection RLS home, plugged it in & all worked great. A few hours later the fridge has power but stopped cooling. Is there a fuse for just the "active compressor"? I cant find one. A Brand new unit should not require any maintenance or repair yet!!! Any thoughts.

Looks like you have the same refrigerator we have. Which mode is the refrigerator in? Are you sure the unit is getting enough power? Since that refrigerator draws about 4 Amps per hour, it can suck the stock battery dry in no time.

The Fridge is a Furrion 12v. Camper has solar so batteries remain charged worked fine one minute not the next. Its not even a week old. The lights and controls work but it doesn't sound like the compressor is firing up.

So the stock batteries that come with most coaches are lead-acid. A lead-acid battery can be damaged if it is discharged beyond 50% of its capacity. The stock batteries typically are 100 Ah (Amp-hours - one Am for one hour) so you would have about 50 Ah useable. Your refrigerator uses 4 Amps per hour, the stock battery can supply that for about 12 hours assuming no other loads. Your coach also has some solar. It provides about 60 Ah per day assuming good conditions. It is quite conceivable that your battery went well below the 50% threshold and has limited capacity going forward. Can you test the battery (disconnect it from the trailer and check the voltage)?

Did it get cold and stop, or run for a bit then never got cold?

Is the interior of the refer cold? It will only run the compressor to get it cold, just like a home refer.

Also, did anyone hold onto the door where the touch control is and turn it off?

Good point, that's not that hard to do.

My guess would be it is fine. Plug your trailer in using an adapter for your house outlet and see what happens.

As it turned out, the fridge is bad & needs to be replaced. Going on our 1st trip w/o a fridge i guess. Now I wait for the approval & replacement from warranty company.
