Made a reservation a year ago for Lake Powhatan (outside of Asheville, NC).
However, due to a medical issue, we cannot keep this reservation. I was going to just cancel, but thought I would make this available to my fellow GD friends.

Here are the details:
Check in 7/1, check out 7/4
Site 051 (Lakeside) - full hookups.

My cost was - $119.00. I will accept Venmo for $119.00

Moved to "Campgrounds, Destinations and RV Trip Planning."

My wife and I were volunteer camp hosts at Lake Powhatan for a season when we first started out. I can attest to the fact that this is a really nice campground - and hard to get into during the busy season.

Looked at the website, looks like a great campground. I'd really like to visit the Asheville area, maybe someday but not in our plans for this summer.

Mitch - do you know what size that site can handle? Looking at the website now and I see it's FHU and reversible - that's a new one!, but nothing about size limits. We're 35' so getting into the Large Rig size.

I just booked the week after in the area, since it's too late for a July 4th booking, but that's only about 90 minutes from us.

Addition: found the site dimensions -- 35' max, so we might be interested. I need to call them and ensure that's a real 35' not sort-of 35'!

The specs for the site is max 35' but the driveway is 78' in length.

That was so great off you to offer the site up. Hope your health gets better fast.

Lake Powhatan is one of our favorite places to visit. Love the area. Very hard to get into any time, any season. We showed up off season (there is no off season there lol) with no reservation hoping to snag a spot on our way back from FL about 5 yrs ago. They looked at us like we both had 2 heads.

Any ways if you like honey and are in that area you have to get yourself some Sourwood honey, can't get it roadside anywhere else except western NC/ Eastern TN
