We took Gemma (Trailer’s name) in and the Water Heater (WH) was covered by Grand Designs Warranty. WH needed a new board, leaking tubing and Convenience Center (CC) Shower fixture replaced, plus Two new Quick-connects installed, Silicone replaced by CC wall and recall notice for cracked LP fittings checked/repaired, and Three solar panels, plus a Controller installed. I have a Go-power 3,000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter, Install Kit and a 30 Amp Transfer Switch w route from etrailer.com.

Wow, sounds like Gemma had a good day! Let us know how your new solar system works out. You may need some batteries to go with the 3,000-watt inverter, inverters can suck up a lot of power quickly.

For now, only Two 12 VDC Deep Cycle batteries. My Inverter, install kit and 400 Amp Fuse arrived today at my home. Later I plan on switching to AGM batteries. The panels have been keeping my batteries charged to 13.7 V.

FYI, water heater has a 2 year warranty from Dometic/Atwood. Board failures are common. Dinosaur sells a bullet proof replacement board.
