    Hydraulic issues

Recently I have been experiencing strange hydraulic issues. When first activating the system (both leveling and slides) it’s almost like I have to ‘wake up’ the system. For example, yesterday I tried to retract my kitchen slide (Solitude 373) but the pump didn’t engage. I had to ‘bump’ the extend button (pump did activate) a few times before the retract function finally worked. The same problem has occurred with the leveling system too so it appears, to me at least, to be a problem with the pump itself. The battery is brand new, the breaker has been changed to an 80 amp and the fluid level is good, any ideas?

Quick response….. tighten all electrical connections to/from pump and associated electrical components; especially the grounds.

I wonder if it's a faulty 80A breaker. Not doubting you, but how do you know the battery is good, have you had a load test performed, or are you going off the voltage. What is the voltage reading anyway? Just because it is brand new, doesnt always equate to it is good.

I'm pretty sure there is a relay for the hydraulic motor. Be sure the control wires for it are OK. Maybe have someone operate the slide switch while feeling/listening to that relay to be sure it is engaging every time. You could put a meter on the pump wiring too in order to verify voltage to the motor every time the switch is operated.
