Yes, I believe the ones on my trailer are from China also, which is a non-issue as the age of the "china bombs" is a decade, and more, past. The new Sailun's are from Vietnam I believe.

The only reason they are using WL’s for spares is to get rid of the inventory.

You know? here is my take on trailer tires, You can have a failure with any of them, low tire pressure, cut in a tire, bad bearings, etc. But the thing I see people ignore the most is what is actually on the trailer when delivered. Half of the trailers I see come with axles and tires just barely rated high enough for the load they are carrying. Look at the weight of your trailer loaded and make sure your tires are rated for that load and then some. Watch your air pressure, wheel torque, and maintain your bearings. Buy tire that exceed what you are hauling. TPMS sensors do help. But don't be lazy and rely on them. Also never tow a trailer with a patched or plugged tire. Why take the chance. I tow a GD 395 triple axle on G rated rated Westlakes and have had 2 problems, ran over a bolt, and accidently locked up the brakes and severely flat spotted a tire. Replaced both and neither one was the fault of the tire.

While I'm no proponent of Westlake tires, especially load range "E", you can't automatically assume that every flat/blowout is the fault of the tire. Many are, but not all.

First long distance trip on new Endurance tires that replaced the OEM Westlakes. Trailer was much more stable and much less steering correction. Plus the new tires run cooler.

The China bombs were from early in 2010 onward for a few years. The tires now aren't too bad.

Well, says you. I will not roll the dice unless you are paying. I still see the China bombs going off.
