    New Model Year switchover

Does anybody know when Grand Design does their switchover to the next model year? Trying to figure out when my unit may arrive. Got another "any day now" reply from the dealer last week.

I saw an RV news item last fall and a large number of manufacturers have agreed to/decided on July as the years cut off and August as the new model year. As I recall it was part of the manufactures organization most belong to trying to stop the constant "my new model is out before yours"

@huntr70 - GD had a really good presence at the Kutztown site we stayed at last night. Nice to see - and a lot in the new color scheme.

New meaning about a year ago I think. Exterior is bright white rather than off-white. Interior is lighter wood finish and the linen interior is more white than it was. Ours was built Dec 2021 but I think they changed color with the 2022 model year - folks we met bought theirs in Aug 2021.

If it’s like past model years a late model 2022 and an early model 2023 will be exactly the same except for VIN numbers that identify model year.

Grand Design makes design changes mid cycle that don’t coincide with model year changes. When we bought our 2017 there was a 2017 next to ours that had prior year interior island finishes and counter tops. It also had other differences that I can’t remember.
