Transcend Xplore receiver hitch for bike rack

We are in the process of purchasing a Transcend 255FK.
Our bike rack is the 1 1/4" receiver style mount.
We would like to leave the spare tire rack on the rear bumper but believe that adding the bikes and rack would certainly over stress
the bumper. We are wondering what other Trancend owners have done to accommodate a bike rack. Commentary as well as pictures would be appreciated.

Generally bike racks that go on the back of a TT should be TT rated. Lots of bouncing around back there vs a MH or car/truck.
I wouldn't attach anything to that bumper. You will need to have someone weld a receiver that's connected to the frame rails and the bumper.

This ^^ - and get an RV-rated bike rack with 2" members and receiver insert. You don't want to be dragging everything down the road by one corner of the bumper.

When I went looking for a bike rack to put on the back of my TT, only two seemed to be rated for TT use with two heavy eBikes. A Swagman model and a 1UP model. Then, since my eBikes are cushy step through models for senior citizens, they have fenders. So, Only the Swagman would work as 1UP clamps down on the rubber wheels. I added taillights to mine as the bikes block the trailer lights pretty good.

We have used this model for seven years (full-time and tens of thousands of miles) without any issues at all:

This is no substitute for a frame-mounted receiver. The bumper is still a very thin walled steel.

Ah yes. I was just referring to allow the bumper to support a little more weight and to reduce the stress of anything attached via the bumper. I wouldn't do a frame mounted receiver unless a heavier duty bumper were put in place.
