You don't say what kind, or size of fridge. I installed 2 120 mm computer fans, on the fins, for our 2118. I've used the little blue fan in the past and it did pretty good for the small fridge, but felt that was too small for this larger fridge.

Just finished my little fridge fan project today. Read lots of threads about the advantage of having the so I dove in. Have seen some pretty cool setups here which inspired my approach.
Consists of 4 x 120mm arctic cold quiet fans. Each fan pushes about 50cfm and only draw about 0.2 amp each. Two of them in the bottom pushing air up through the back of the fridge and two at the top pulling air out.
Picked up a controller to manage when they come on and turn off. Also dropped an in-line fuse in the mix just because. Now I just need to play with the settings to see the right temp to have them come on.
Was surprised at how quiet they are. Not sure if it was the foam I put in between the fans and the frame I built or if they are just that quiet. Will be interesting to see how much cooler the fridge runs now.
