Thinking of getting a 2017 348M
I have a 2012 GMC 2500 Duramax (we call him Terrence) that’s deleted and thinking of getting a 2017 GD 348M. My GMC has a GVWR of 17,800 lbs and the trailer GVWR is 16500, do you think my 2500 will do the job safely? BTW I have Firestone 7500 air bags.

Are you sure about that GVWR? Maybe that's trailer towing limit? That trailer will put around 3,000 lbs. in the bed of your truck. That would be in addition to hitch, passengers, and any paraphernalia in the bed. Your decision if you feel the truck will be fine. I'm a dually guy, so my opinion is colored slightly.
Air bags will do nothing to help with weight, but will help level the trailer if it causes the truck to sag too much.Howard and Peggy

We can’t determine if you can drive anything “safely” because we don’t know you but this trailer will be way over your trucks’ specs
