    Added Water Pressure Tank

I added a water pressure tank to our coach yesterday. I also moved the pump over and utilized the top of the storage bin I used to sit the pressure tank in as a water drip tray. I intend on mount several of the water leak detector in this area later.
The pressure tank is attached by a "T" to the pump discharge and held in place with a bungy cord attached to the floor. In my tests, the sink faucet would run about 30 seconds before the pump kicked on. I set the tanks pressure at 28psi to get this optimal setup.

I originally had this great idea of hooking the tank up to the quick coupling of outside shower in the wet bay. This didn't work because it evidently has a backflow preventer in the line.

I've transferred the same tank in 3 trailers now. The benefits: It stops the short or half-cycling of the pump when a faucet is open for just a trickle, I can get 1 or 2 toilet flushes and hand washings at night before the pump kicks on. After a few days, the TP valve on the water heater would start to weep, I think the WH would lose the air pocket. No more weeping with the tank installed.

It is a 2 gal waterworks pressure tank I bought at Menards. They don't carry that brand anymore but have a similar tank. You could go with a 5gal if you have more space.

Used it last week. It is nice to not have the pump running during the middle of the night bathroom runs!
