GM 6.6 & 3:73 gas
Looking for actual input, experience not opinions without experience.
Anyone that has a GM, 6.6 with 373 gears, towing I would like to know your experience with towing power, fuel mileage and overall performance.
Again, looking for actual information and maybe a comparison to what you had before. thanks in advance. JeffJeff & Karen

Have a 2020 2500 gas. Gets 8 to 9 mpg towing our 21g toy hauler at about 8500lbs on a good day. 65 to 70 mph doesn’t make a lot of difference. Headwinds kills mileage, 6 to 7 with moderate winds.

Not to many big hills in southern Louisiana, but have towed to Tuscaloosa Alabama with no trouble. Had a 2007 2500 2wd with the 6.0 and 4:10 gears that I towed my 24ft enclosed car trailer with. It weighed about 7500lbs with race car and necessities. Mileage was about the same pulling, maybe a little better with the 6.6. 6.6 has more power and gets better mileage unloaded. Also 2020 is a 4wd.

That 6.6L should get a 10 speed in the next year or so. That could be a really nice combination for those not needing Diesel and its complexity.
