    Bathroom Night Light

I thought I would post a mod I did a couple months ago in case anyone else is like me and doesn't like being night blind after using the restroom in the middle of the night. The problem was we boondock about half the time so the regular plug-in type 120v night lights don't work all the time and 12v ones don't look on purpose/OEM or they are in the way (ya I know, and yes I am.)

So I got a piece of left over blue LED strip (probably from pantry light addition) and stuck it to the inside of one of the bathroom lights around the edge (Pic bellow) and ran the wires out an existing hole in the fixture. Then it was just a matter of feeding the wire through the ceiling and down in the wall where the existing bathroom switch is. I pulled out the existing switch and installed a double switch. A bit of wiring using the hot side of the old switch and neutral in the wall and bedaubing a new 12v night light.

It works great (almost too bright, but fine) and looks OEM. So now the cat is out of danger of my size 12 clown feet.

That's a pretty clever mod. Thanks.

We travel with one of these.... it really works well... (somewhere on this forum is a thread about mods under $20 where I post this but I can't even find that thread now)

Retired and getting stir crazy... I even replaced the small solid panels at the bottom of my screen doors with clear so the Cat can see out when she is laying on the mat in front of the door. Now that really means I have too much time on my hands... but she likes it!

Huh. Never pictured you to be a cat person. But retirement can do crazy things. My dad bought a stroller from his dog. Evidentially us laughing at him so hard got him to return it.
