I like the specs of the 32i but not at $3800.00 price tag.

I've decided that generator manufactures are getting as dumb as RV manufactures. One can no longer look at a model number and gauge the normal output anymore than one can look at an RV's model number and guess the actual length.
I got curious and looked closer at the Honda 32i and Generac GM3300i. The 321's run wattage is 2600 watts; the Generac 330 'ramfraz' is rated only for 2500 watts (a higher model number with a lower average output! - ARGH!!)Last edited by traveldawg; 07-01-2022 at 11:15 AM.

I am interested in the Generac 3300i but it has a low run time, 4.5 hours at 25% load.

We love our Predator 3500. Easy enough to store for us as we have a Momentum 31G. Just roll it in the garage and secure it to the Etrack. I realize that doesn't work for everybody. We have the onboard Onan but it's much to loud for running overnight. The Predator runs the main AC perfectly and is very quiet. I set it up at the rear of the trailer and barely hear it. I recently installed SoftStartRV devices in both AC's so going to test running both this weekend just to see what happens.
The advantage to a larger generator is when using it at home during power outages we can run several things that would not happen if we had a smaller gen.

Nice camping spot. I wish I had a toy hauler for my scoot but not in the cards these days. I would have to lift the genny in the back of my truck, which is fine but repeated regularly will certainly mess the back up....
Really looking for the sweet spot in a generator: 60lbs or less and can run my 22mle AC and a few other items in the trailer. I may have to go with 2 smaller 2500W generators and parallel them together. Not my preference though.John and Lori

My 2 cents:
I like the Hondas and Yamaha. Just don't care for the problems associated with gasoline. Propane is not known for fouling carbs.
Had a gas Westinghouse iPro2500. Over 4 years, replaced the GFCI and the 18 amp (now 20 amp) circuit breaker. It ran the 15K BTU AC with an installed Micro-Air Easystart and provided limited house power during the Texas cold spell of 2020. Weighed 55 pounds with fuel/ethanol free gas. I don't really care to have a gas can in the back of the truck on long trips. Last trip was 4100 miles.
Our new inverter generator is the Champion 200977 Dual Fuel. It's quiet, runs the AC and at 79 pounds, I can move it without assistance. We always have propane with when we travel. Might upgrade to 30# bottles next summer?Last edited by Rivercityjeff; 07-02-2022 at 06:03 AM.

Jeff, how is the noise level on your Champion 200977 open frame. I have been focusing on the traditional enclosed inverter and haven't researched the open frames. Seems light weight and a manageable size to move around.
