    rear observation camera

Anybody have experience with the Voyager model WVRXCAM1 ? This model uses the auxiliary input for the factory monitor in your tow vehicle instead of requiring a separate monitor.

    Hello JimQ..

I use the Furion Observation model, which seems to work just fine. It just plugs into the pre-wired mount, and was good to go. If I want to see what's behind me, I just plug the monitor into a convenient 12 volt receptical, and bwala...I have rear view. Works pretty well going down the road as well, except I find it distracting so usually unplug the monitor until I need it.

    Don,

I like the idea of using that expensive piece of real estate in my dash already instead of adding another moniter and the cord and such. gets in the way of my Starbucks Does the Furrion drop out much ?

Very good point. Haven't checked yet but since our trucks are both 2013 (mine is F150) we likely have same system.

    rear observation camera

But for $400 ish you can get a device called lock pick https://www.coastaletech.com/mytouch2.htm you can get these features unlocked while in motion.

I currently have the Furrion Observation Camera and it does work while traveling, but I would like to use my screen I have in my truck to monitor the rear of the camera, the garage, the hitch in the bed and even the TPMS (even thought this is just a dream). If and when my furrion fails, I may look into doing a more wired solution.

Starbucks (or its equivalent) does tend to demand prime real estate. No, the Furion does not drop out at all. Occassionally it will get a bit of inerference or freeze for 2 or 3 seconds at the most, but otherwise works pretty good. I just can't watch it..I'll probably run into something...like a tree! I like the idea of getting it to work with my truck screen...hmm, will need to see what I can find on that.

Do a quick search on Google for parking brake relay. For only a couple of dollars you can pick up a cheap relay and a couple of terminals at your local auto parts store. This simulates the parking brake and permits the video to work as well as access to the setup items requiring the vehicle to be stopped.

If needed I can dig up the relay and install info when I get back to my laptop. It is very easy to put together and install.
