    2970RL Grey tank not draining

We just bought a 2022 2970RL Grand Design Imagine RV. According to the electronic display, my grey tank number 1 is not draining. I have 2 Grey tanks. Does anyone know which tank this is for? And also, any tips on how to drain it?

My trailer has 2 gray tanks. #1 is the shower/bathroom. Handle for that one is on the nautilus panel.

Look for another gray tank pull handle under the coach.

2 handles. I’ve tried emptying both. Wondering if it’s a sensor issue? When I left last week it said they were empty. Came back yesterday and it said tank 1 was 1/3 full.

Idea. Open valve. Pour some water in the sink. See if it comes out. Could very likely be dirty sensors. If so, my fix is 16oz of Dawn Ultra and fill the tank and let it set for a few days. Then drain. Usually gets the sensors mostly working.

But. Don’t put Dawn in your black tank. There are a number of chems special for black tank sensors.

I did run water from the sink and also the shower and the water is coming out. I’ll try your sensor trick. Thanks!

I use a water flow gauge when I bring the hose into the trailer to fill the grey tank. For my 43 gallon tanks, when the hose cow gage says 35 gallons, they are full.

Not unusual for a tank “that’s empty” to show 1/3 for several reasons. There’s always some water left in a tank so any change in level can move that water toward the sensors. Also, the sensors are notorious for erosions readings. Sometimes very little additional water added to the tank will register 1/3 if the rig is leveled differently or weight distribution shifts. I for one, don’t put much stock in gauges.
