Looks like a collection of dirt[ and oxidation. Keep up on your roof cleaning also check caulking for signs of breaking down

I agree. Looks like staining, same as our roof. Lot of dust can collect in low spots or pools on the caulk and make that blackening. I didn’t like mine the first time it started but I don’t think it is damaging. Keep washing and as said, check for caulk breakdown. I know my ladder roots in the roof seem to be a weak point. I am waiting for my Etrnabond tape and I will do a recaulk and tape job.

Agreed with the others. It gets worrysomev with you start to see little pinholes.
