    240 outlet for residential dryer

We full time in a 2022 momentum 395ms and I've searched up and down on this topic and cannot find anything. Decided on somewhat bigger stackable washer/dryer. Purchased a Samsung 4.0 cu. Ft. Model: DV22K6800EW dryer and I need a 120/240V receptical in the garage above the water hookups.
The box and receptical taken care of. The 30 amp breaker to add to the breaker box, taken care of. My issue is how to get the wire ran from the breaker to the garage wall with the receptical. Should I go through the floor or the ceiling? I planned on dropping the underbelly and seeing how accessible the floor wiring is from there.

I'm pretty certain there's no 240v in your RV. It's a split 120v. Its not wired the same. Hopefully someone with more RV electrical knowledge and more familiar with your model will pitch in. Maybe there's a way to make it work @xrated

All I will say at this time is....I'd be interested to find out how he plans to pick up a 240VAC feed from the existing breaker panel.

    EDITED.......See my post below!

    Welcome to the forum!

So first, these rigs do not carry 240 volts. They are 120 split phase. I hope the washer and dryer set you purchased can run on 120.

Second, if you need a new feed from the ac distribution center, I do feel the easiest would be to drop the chloroplast and do a direct run underneath.

You may need to rethink the washer dryer set you purchased.

    Good Luck,

OK, depending on what brand of breaker panel you have in the trailer, something like this may work. Usually you can look on the breaker panel face plate and it gives you a list of breaker brands that will fit in your panel. If it will accept an Eaton brand, the link that I posted will take you to a breaker that MAY work perfectly for you. You obviously would need to remove power from the trailer and then remove the main breakers (50A tandem) and then move the next breaker on either side of the main to a different location on their respective buss bar sides....IF YOU HAVE ROOM. Check this out and if you think it would work....maybe check pricing to see if it can be beat. Good luck..

Oh, and I agree with RedApple......a run under the trailer will be much easier than trying to do the ceiling.

In addition to what others have said, realize you will only have the possibility of 240v available to the trailer on a 50A service. Any 30A, 20A or 15A service (where you plug your trailer in) will only be 120v. As others have said, nothing (stock) in your trailer runs off of 240v AC, so it is not wired for that.

We are hooked to 50A service yes. We figured if we were at a park with only 30A available we wouldn't be able to run the dryer.

I dont think that double pole breaker will work. Everything one on side of the 50A breaker is L1 and everything else on the other side is L2. Its not setup like a home panel where you can just pop in a double pole breaker.
