Interesting - I'm wondering what value then? I got caught thrice on unanticipated re-routes which the Garmin did not like but turned out OK (barely).

You are correct! (As usual!). I use them in the RV780 more as a warning when visually inspecting the route.

In rerouting, that's a bit more dicey. In that case, I usually follow the truckers, even if it takes me 60 (or more) miles out of the way. I have a handheld CB radio that I use specifically for things like this.

@MoonShadow_1911 has your answer(s). I would add that, in seven years and over 44,000 miles of towing, the Garmin RV GPSs have never failed me when it comes to clearances with their built-in data - even on rerouting.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 2539 and it will alert with the Low Clearances POI loaded on it. Scared the heck out of me the first time, but it was for the underpass and not the road I was on. I had one of the earlier RV/Truck Nuvi's and got tired of constantly being routed around "No Truck" routes. The newer RV models probably don't have that problem.

We access rv trip wizard on iPhone 11, plug in phone with the umbilica cord to truck, use trip tool menu and select export trip, then select gps export, click the red down load button under gps export. We had to play with this for a while. Took 600 mile (round trip) and the rv trip wizard performed flawlessly. We printed the material just in case. Leaving for Colorado /New Mexico for 6 weeks in August and looking forward to using that. Hope this helps.

Okay, that sounds different. Everything I've read says you can't import stuff to Sync3; waypoints, Travis, GPS files, etc.

Also, RV Trip Wizard isn't a Sync3 compatible app.

I used to use RVTW on my phone, until it locked up on me.

    Thanks for the info.
