IMAGINE XLS 19BWE bunk ladder removal

Hello all. Glad to have found this forum. We have a 2020 IMAGINE XLS 19BWE. I would like to remove the bunk ladder to have easier access to the storage under the bottom bunk when the slid out is in. It looks like the ladder may be structurally supporting the bunks. Has anyone removed or altered the ladder without compromising the bunks? I was thinking of hinging the bottom of the ladder so it can fold up and out of the way. And can return to the floor if strength for the bunks is needed.
I also would like to know the weight capacity of the bunks. Its not in my book and I have not had any luck calling Grand Design. Thoughts? Ideas?
