    Dinette table too big

Has anybody cut down the dinette table or replaced it with a smaller top ? After several trips in the 2600RB, we decided to get a bit smaller. It's hard to sit across from each other do to the width of the table. We're not big people but the size makes it very hard to get in and out without shoving the table into the other person.

    Dinette table too big

    Simple to do
    Just cut it
If you don’t have a good saw any lumber yard could do it for a fee
Just remember the covering is just paper so the edges will likely start to peel
Some kind of edge banding could be put on

The best way to cut laminates like that is with a laminate blade with the good side of the surface you're cutting down. Put masking tape on the back side to minimize splitting or chipping. As mentioned, plastic edge molding is available at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.

Along a similar line, there have been several threads where people have replaced the table top altogether with beautiful glued-up hardwood or inlaid work with the epoxy bartop coating on top of it. You can use the search function (top right) and look for "replace table top" or the like.

I wouldn’t call them a laminate They are just paper glued to press wood
I personally would clamp a board to the top as a guide and using a hobby knife score the paper at the edge of the cut
