Grand Tetons

A few pics from our stay in the Grand Tetons. We are staying in Alpine, 20 miles or so from Jackson. Nice little town Alpine and everything you need here and not near as crowded as Jackson.
I see what you mean by having patience driving through Jackson, wow!
Some of the pics are of the Visitors center in Jackson at the Elk Refuge. The snake river runs through the Tetons and we were able to get off the beaten path by taking a hiking road that leads right up next to the mountains. Beautiful place!

In case some are wondering, right now here in the Tetons, on fuel prices, diesel is $5.69-5.79 gallon. Still lots of people touring the parks. We have noticed lots of license plates from the West coast but not as many from the Midwest or East coast. Probably to be expected. Also lots of rental Class C and B RVs. Jackson, Jackson Hole, was really crowded with people, also probably normal. Lots of people rafting on the Snake River.
