    how to secure side by side refrigerator doors for travel?

    We have a new Grand Design Reflection 320MKS with the 16 cu ft. side by side refrigerator. So far we don't see any way to lock or secure the doors while travelling. Any suggestions?

    First off @debmwb1, it looks like you're new here, welcome to the forum. We have a side-by-side refrigerator and the doors are secured by a bungy-like loop at the top with hooks on each door. If your's doesn't have that, you could probably do the same with something like these: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07XVWVN57

    @debmwb1 -

    What make and model are the 16 cu. ft. fridges in the Reflections? I may know of something that would work, but need to know the make and model.

    BTW - welcome to the forum! You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

    Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

    First, welcome to the group!

    To your question, depending on the make and model (Dometic or Norcold) they sell over priced plastic inserts to keep the doors secured (open) when turned off, res models have small metal clamps on the from Grand Design. Not sure what Furrion has for their products.

    My Norcold clicks closed, so not worried about doors popping open. When I had my other rig, the older Dometic did the same thing.

    What brand fridge do you have so we can better help?

    The fridge is a Furrion 16 cu. ft. Side by Side model FCR16DCASA-SS. There are no protruding handles, just recessed areas in the door to grab when you open them.

    As of April, the makers of the Fridge Fixer were beta testing one for the Furrion refrigerators. You could contact them at [email protected] and see where they are on that. The Fridge Fixer is absolutely the best solution for this problem.

    I have that rig (2022). It is supposed to have a bungee cord just above the doors. That was missed at the factory on mine. Dealer installed. I also use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KPZMMV...roduct_details and will keep using it in addition to the bungee.

    There should be a black slide type thing on one of the doors, it should just slide over to latch or connect with the other door
