    Travelling With Wine In Rack

Does anyone travel with the wine rack full?

We tested it last trip with one bottle in the rack, and upon arrival found that it had slid backwards and was resting on the window valence.

Has anyone else experienced this and come up with a solution?

Will investigate further, or just leave it in the case sitting on the floor while underway.

I can’t imagine you would risk it any other way than putting them low and wrapped
I can’t imagine a worse mess than a busted bottle of wine for a 5 minute inconvenience

Order a case of wine shipped from somewhere. Save the packaging. Put it in the storage area under the bed. Using a Sharpe, Label
It as the “ Grand Design Wine Cellar”. Prior to departure fill
It with your favorite Cab, Pinot, Chard, Chianti, etc. replenish on the road as needed.

I don't know. I'm sure there is a way to tie them down while traveling. Nothing tight, but hold them in place while underway. It can be done with a little Enginuity.

That's what we do. We discovered a winery in Kewlona, BC that we feel in love with and order a case every now and then from them. We figured since every bottle has survived their shipping, it would survive in the RV.

Did that with a previous motorhome.

Problem with the 260RD is that you can't access the 'Master Suite' with the slide in, so the underbed storage is not available during loading, so everything goes into the fridge, cupboards or on the floor. Just looking to see if there is a way to reduce the clutter.

    Bungie cord might work.
