How much below MSRP is fair?

been told 20-30% below MSRP was common prior to Covid, what is fair these days?

Use the internet and find your best deal
What one dealer needs to survive may not be what another does so “fair” can be wide ranging

In the car business my dealer principal was filthy rich so he financed all the cars on the lot so we could sell them cheaper vs a new dealer having to finance his vehicles through the bank

FWIW, all I managed this month was 21% on a 2022. Probably because the 2023's are about to ship.

I'm seeing published pricing in the 23-27% range off MSRP on Solitudes and S-Class. With dealer inventory back up I would think a decent offer would buy a unit. Depends on the dealer though....

We did 35% off MSRP back in 2019 on our 295RL. With all the used COVID units soon to be back on the market, current interest rates, and new RVs stacking up on lots, quality issues, etc, would think 40%+ would be about right.

We just closed a deal on a new 2022 378MBS-R last week. The unit had almost all the options (8k axles/disc brakes/dual pane/generator/slide toppers, etc) I was going to order new to get the axles/brakes, but found this one on a dealer lot at a better price......build date is April 2022.
After haggling we ended up at 28.9% off MSRP. Sounds good, but then MSRP is up drastically over the last 2 years too!
Oh well, no need to worry about $$ spent now. It's time to find out what works and what doesn't on these pandemic units.

We were able to get 25% off in July 2021 on a 22 Momentum 21G. Of course we had to go to Texas, Arizona dealers wouldn't come down that much, and there was a waiting list.
