    Odd Water Quality Issue.

We used the trailer on city water about three weeks ago including the use of the shower. On this recent trip, we used city water and ran the kitchen and bathroom faucets without any water quality issues for a couple of days before using the shower. When wifey went to use the shower this horrible brown water came out. I don't understand how there was clear water in the faucets for a couple of days and then horrible brown in the shower. Why did the brown water not get siphoned out when the faucets were used?

Anything left in the lines to the shower would not be affected when you use the other faucets. Was it hot or cold water you were using in the shower when the brown water came out? If hot, your water heater could need flushing and, if it has one, the anode replaced.

Along with Robs advice , are you using water filters? Some campgrounds have questionable water quality. Also suggest a portable water softener if youy plan on mostly FHU spots

As best I can tell the water was from the cold tap. I was just surprised that there would be standing water in the shower line that was not removed when the bathroom faucets were used. As a precaution, I am going to flush the WH.

And always use a water filter on the incoming water line.
