Solitude 379FL Patio Awning arms not extending properly

HELP.. traveling to Florida and will need awning. We have a 2014 Solitude 379FL that we purchased several months ago. We have only extended the awning twice before and today when we went to put it out the arms are not extending properly. At first the arm by the back door started to come out but the front door arm did not, so we retracted it and tried again and now the front will extend but the back doesn't. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. cross posted

Try some spray silicone at the pivot points.

You should be able to pull on the arms a little bit to help them open, then lube them.

I have a 379FL as well. My awning rests on the kitchen slide out. Is that normal? It seems to be fully extended but not high enough to stay off of the slide. Anyone have a solution?

I use a couple swim noodles on top of my dining room slide to prevent awning from rubbing

Nelson, I ordered them from a friend, [email protected], they are attached with screws. Makes it about 10 degrees cooler

Thanks for the tip on the swimming noodles. I'm guessing that all 379 awnings are the same

Got the noodles in place LCBoyer. Now, the awning won't retract. Seem like the motor. *sigh* I do love my GD but I have to admit I've had a few problems. I've had to have a dining room chair and 1/2 of my recliner replaced. They did replace the chairs under warranty but it cost me $400+ to have them sent to me. I've called the head office in Indiana, left messages but now response. The middle light over the dining room table constantly flickers and the USB port by the pantry stopped working. Now my awning sits on my slide and now it won't retract. I'm a bit disappointed in the quality considering the price tag of $90k +. Just venting
