    Great thread.
I have and really like my 7.3. I am going to buy a spare wire for sure.

Getting ready to purchase a new F250 with a Godzilla, is this still an issue with the latest models?

If I owned a 7.3L I would be on the phone with MSD for a set of their Superconductor wires. These have been around for 20 years and I’ve used them with headers and superchargers and they have always been great. They sell sets you can cut and make to length. They would be perfect since there’s not an off the shelf option.

Not sure how widespread it is. They supposedly have it fixed back in 2020 but I had a problem, I would not let that dissuade you from buying this engine - I think it's great - this kind of thing can happen and easy to address.

I recently was about to go over 36,000 miles on my 2020 F150, and I needed a new door lock solenoid replaced. The dealer said it'd be a 5 day wait, but they got to it in 2 days.

For a dealership that has almost no new trucks on their lot, I've never seen so much service work. I've been driving by every day, and just about every one of their 30 bays is full--all day long. And I bet they've got 150 cars just sitting outside too.

I guess if you don't have any cars to pay the overhead, then it's time to push the parts and service departments into high gear.

    I've got 22k on my 22 7.3. Haven't had a single issue. Runs great, transmission shifts smooth. Coming from a 2018 f150 3.5, it's not as "quick", but I wouldn't go back.

Yea, the turbos do make a huge difference, but after owning a few (non Ford turboed vehicles) the replacement costs after warranty is high. Would rather own a (more reliable IMO) super charged motor like the one in my GT500. IMO, anything that uses hot exhaust to force induction longterm, is a problem waiting to happen.

I currently have the 6.2ltr in my 2013 F150 SCREW. Absolutely love that gasser! Its the reason why I want its big brother Godzilla!
