    battery operated fans

Does anybody use a battery operated fan when sitting outside camper?
If so what kind and how would you rate it overall function.
How long does the battery last?

We have a couple O2Cool fans, on high they don't last but half the day. On low you can get a full day out of them maybe more. Costly to run but when it's hot out it's well worth it for air movement if you are not plugged in.
Rechargables work but don't last nearly as long as the duracells.

We have a small fan, sorry can't find the link. It was under $20 a few years ago. It's rechargeable via USB and can run and charge at the same.

DW likes some air movement in the bedroom. It's small enough it has to be pretty close to feel much cooling.

Wife uses one of the Ryobi fans, I have multiple batteries for them. During the night on high we need to just replace it once.

We use a rechargeable fan. It oscillates, is extendable, has 3 speeds, and tilts up/down. Recharges via a USB connection.

Great for overnight highway rest stop parking with no power hookup. Also great for indoor air movement, as well as outside during hot days. Great little fan for the price!

We have three of the Koonie fans, but the model with the clamp. I'm getting a fourth before the next trip. We just got back from a short camping trip and these fans saved us from coming home after the first night because it's hot. The kids and wife were able to clamp them on the valences or handles without marring them or slipping. I thought the fan did a great job on this trip because I clamped one to my chair while cooking over a fire and it kept me from passing out and the mosquitos away. I believe it helped with directing the smoke too. I also used it to stoke the fire a couple times. The best was lying in the shaded hammock with it clamped to the chair next to me. Didn't sweat at all!

We had the same battery experience as Whittleburner.

Like Rick said, it has to be fairly close and is hard to share. That's why I'm getting a fourth.

The Harbor Freight Hercules cordless fan is nice. It works on cordless tool batteries and connects to an extension cord when you have power. There is a blower and full set of tools that use the same batteries.

I have the Milwaukee and Ryobi fans. Both fans are either 110 or battery powered. I think the Milwaukee puts out a little more air flow.
