    Ac strange issue

Every time we open the door the AC cycles on or off. It's happening....very very strange. I'm thinking grounding issue. And when it does this the compressor will cycle out but the fan will not. The compressor will cycle back on and it blows ice cold air. But never cycles back off. I've removed power from trailer for a period. Seems fine then one of us opens the door. Stumped!

A few questions: 1) what model/floorplan is your trailer, 2) how close is the thermostat to the door; 3) is the thermostat set to "Cool Hi/Low" or "Cool Hi/Low Auto?"

The A/C is started and stopped by the thermostat. You can run just the fan with no compressor or also trigger the compressor via the temperature and cool setting. I would start with the thermostat since it is easy to get to and check. I would tap the thermostat and try and replicate the issue. Then remove from the wall and check the wire connections are not loose.

With the heat we have been having in Arkansas and days of 100 plus temps, Our AC seldom cycles off during the day.

Ok I'm back had to fly down to Florida for a few days to see my first grand child. Beautiful !
Here is what I found first ground side of a 30 amp extension cord was loose. Replaced it. Fuse box issue fixed that. The voltage was fluctuating before those fixes. After that no more door issues...honestly that I can not explain but I tell you this I was not the only one that witnessed it. Multiple times. I still think grounding issue based on repairs. Ac is working 100% ok. 22mle GE AC. Watch and wait.
