Our first trip was pretty awesome pulling using the PP3. Had 2 panic stops that locked the trailer wheels. Not sure if the controller is set right - pure amateur here. The feel was very similar to our 17,000# 5th wheel pulled by the Ram dually. Very tight and solid. Noticed a small bit of push/suck when a big rig or big van would pass. Nothing to write home about. An easy, comfortable single finger, relaxed driving experience. I am going to raise the hole one move in the PP hitch bar and recheck the tt level. I may also add just a bit of turn on the jacks and remeasure the front wheel well which is now within 1/2-3/4 inch of the original. All in all, a very good ride.

One more thing. I've moved the jacks the 1/2" closer up against the LP bottle cover now - as far forward as they can go. See the spacing in my post #14 .

Medium and close to max. I understand to set it I should have done a panic stop with it unloaded but forgot to do it until loaded and test driving first run.

Unverified, but my Ford dealer told me that the integrated brake controller is proportional to speed, so the old "try to lock 'em at slower speed" test for proper setting isn't valid - the truck avoids that when it can to make the braking safer. But I've learned that they don't really know their vehicles very well. I run mine right at a "10", and never any issues. Wear and tear on the trailer brakes is a lot cheaper than the truck, so I kinda prefer having the trailer slightly hold me back when braking than the other way around. Have never had them lock up, but no emergency braking in the last five years, either.
