    Backup camera....yes again!

My wife and I just bought our first used RV (2017 303RLS), I installed a Backup camera and the only way to power it up is by having the 12v system on. How has people rewired camera power to the running lights by chance. Was this standard on this model year?

There is no standard when talking about the wiring of these RVs. It's a 12v camera, so either leave the 12v system on (no problem if you go this route) or tap off one of the clearance lights for 12v (camera will only work when lights are on, you would need to leave lights on when driving during the day).

I spliced into the center rear clearance light. Most people have done this.

Not sure if this will help you as ours came wired from Grand Design and I believe they are wired to the marker lights, but...we have a 2018 303RLS and power for the camera (while we are moving) comes from having the parking lights on the truck turned on. (Actually, I turn on the fog lights and that supplies power to the camera on the rear of the trailer.) Try that.
