    Electric stabilizer stopped working

Our travel trailer has front & rear electric stabilizers from Lippert and the rear unit quit working.....I used them both when I set up the trailer, but then, four days later went we were getting ready to leave, the rear unit wouldn't raise. I had to raise it manually.

There is no obvious damage (that might happen if the rear end were bottomed out), I lubricated the exposed rotating components, everything moves fine when manually raised/lowered, and I hear the motor running so I know power is getting to the motor. Before I call GD or pull off the motor to have a look at the gears, I thought I'd ask if this has happened to anyone else who might offer something specific for me to check.

    GM,

First thing I would check is proper voltage to the electric motor.

The switches are common failure items.

Also, the motor gets the negative power feed via the frame of the trailer. Mine quit working once, and it was a bad ground. I removed the mounting bolts and put star lock washers between the bolts and the frame and it’s never had another issue.
