How much do you drive towing?

Edit. 5-8 is a huge range btw. Which is it?
We never travel over 63mph and get great fuel mileage considering I am hauling a brick with my 5.3

Keep in mind the faster you go the fuel mpg drops drastically
I also usually set my cruse to 63. With my 6.7 Diesel I get around 13 give or take 1mpg. pulling my 310GK with about 35gallons of fresh water, no black or grey.

    I tow a 28BH 5th wheel with a 2018 2500 Duramax. Last 2 trips were 11.5 MPG towing around 70-75 MPH.
It is deleted if that makes a difference.

I tow a Grand Design Reflection 297RSTS (8000 lb empty) with a 2018 Ram 2500 Diesel and get 12.5 mph driving 65-70 mph on interstate. My last trip from Blue Ridge mountains back to the Baton Rouge Louisiana area I kept track of miles and gallons used and that is what it came out to be. The dashboard mpg display seems to be very accurate. I was towing a trailer half that weight with a 5.3 liter Chevy Suburban with only a 4 speed transmission and it was horrible in the mountains and I could never even get 10 mpg on flat land. The diesel has so much more torque that it's like the difference between night and day. But I went from a 5.3 liter gas with only a 4 speed transmission to a 6.7 liter diesel with a 6 speed. I tow on the interstate in 6th gear and only time it shifts down to 5th is on hills. As others have said the exhaust braking is very nice indeed. The only thing I don't like is having to change fuel filters every 15,000 miles. There are two on my truck and I get the dealer to replace them for around $300 parts and labor. On the RAM the diesel motor was an extra $8000.

    2020 Silverado 2500HD Duramax --2017 2800BH

Looking for real world mpg towing the 2800 at 65-70 mpg

Our 2021 chevy 6.2 gasser mileage is appalling.. 5-8 mpg at 65/70
Yes, I have 2020 Silverado 2500HD Duramax and I average around 10MPG pulling 2017 2800BH fully loaded. But the pull is as the unit is not even there. I can set the cruise control and it doesn't miss a beat even up steep hill. Awesome
