    New 2016 Reflection 323BHS

    Hello!!

Just purchased a 2016 Reflection 323BHS and are on our shake down camping trip in the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. We have owned several travel trailers previously, the most recent being a 2012 Outback 301BQ. A very nice trailer that served us well, but the kids are old enough now and do not want to camp as much with us, so we needed something a little bigger. Actually now that the kids are able to stay home alone, my wife and I plan on spending more time on the road. She works for the school and gets the summer off, I have a job where I can work remotely. We plan to take advantage of this and travel in our new Reflection.

I have been fairly active on other forums such as Outbackers.com and Dogandtrailer.com and hope to contribute here as well. I am sure you will all have plenty to teach me.

Here is a picture of our rig, right after purchase from Schaeffers RV. A special thank you to Steve (Huntr70) for putting this deal together for us. Most painless RV purchase experience ever!

    Looking good Dan and Helen!

Hope it serves you well for a lot of great memories.

You should post your write up and pictures of your battery and inverter install. There are are lots of folks on here that could benefit from it.

During my inverter install I found a couple problems with my fiver. It appears that the installer got a little too aggressive when cutting off the cable jacket. All of the wires leading into the breaker panel had been cut, including the two hot wires. I trimmed back the jacket and taped the cuts, but still not good.

I also found this pinched water line when I was running cables. This line goes to the toilet. I have not done anything yet with this as the toilet works, but you have to wonder how the installer thought a 90 degree turn with a plastic tube would work? All they had to do was just twist the T fitting into the proper position.

Love the 323BHS, I'm a bit biased LOL. The storage space is unreal! Congrats and welcome aboard!

Took our new Reflection on its first trip this weekend. Would have liked to spend more time getting to know her, but the summer is burning away so I threw myself into the frying pan. A few things I have learned:

    - You need to be a bit more organized on the outside storage of a fiver. We lost most of the bed of our truck for storage and now only have the basement for outdoor storage on the 323. Our previous TT had tons of outdoor storage, but now we have a bigger rig and less outdoor storage.

    - Backing up a fifth wheel is completely different than backing up a TT. The fifth wheel seems to react slower, but once it does react, it reacts quickly. I need some more practice here.

    - Loving my Pullrite Superglide hitch, not the cheapest solution, but it is really nice to have with the short bed truck.

    - The 323 has a black awning, top and bottom. Really liking this as I think it will be easy to keep clean.

So a few pictures of our maiden voyage. The 323 deployed dry camping at Cranberry Lake in Upstate New York.

And here is my wonderful wife with our new Pug, Minnie. The most amazing dog I have ever seen or owned, she is one piece of work. So sweet, yet so naughty ................ So cute you cannot help but smile every time you see her. So smart, she knows how to play it to get what she wants. An amazing little girl.
