Port Aransas in November...how is the swimming?

We are planning to be in Port Aransas TX the weekend before Thanksgiving. It will be our daughters first time seeing the ocean. I've looked up ocean temperature averages but honestly, I have no idea what a comfortable water temperature is for playing in the ocean. I searched for Port Aransas and see that several forum members have spent time there. How comfortable is the water at the end of November?

    Thanks!

The average seawater temperature is about 73° in November. People do go wading and a few do swim.

We were in Port Aransas in the fall of 2020 and I don't recall the weather being very cool. Having grown up in near by Corpus Christi I doubt if you will excperience very cool weather in November, more likely windy but mild days. Port A is a great place to visit, enjoy yourself.

That would be considered extremely warm in New England.

The water is usually beautiful and of pleasant temperature in November. There’s always a chance for a early colder than normal snap but in general it should be nice. We spend a lot of time down there, fall and winter is the best time to go!

Very swimmable, but don't go out too far. There are sharks.
