I am shopping for a soft start for my AC unit. I am inclined to go with the Miro Aire but I found the Soft Start on Amazon for $242. Micro Aire will run me $319+.

While I can't say which is 'Best'.....I installed and am very happy with the Micro-aire 364.
I installed it on my new Coleman Mach A/C within a week of buying the trailer. Warranties are close to useless, so I was not concerned.

Just installed the Micro Air 364 today, very happy with it

The AC runs just fine on a Champion 2500w generator

The one thing that is a bit confusing... I did the 5 starts/stops as recommended... when I got into the app, it says only 1 learned start has taken place

Should that be done with the app open and in the Learn Mode section (which I found after I did the 5 starts)

    Other than that, super happy

Did you wait the instructed time between starts? I think 10 minutes if I remember correctly? You could try the "relearn" function and see if it makes a difference. Or, wait until you have a hot day and just turn it on and run normally. It should learn and adjust on its own.

I watched a video from someone with Micro Air, the off time was 3 mins and I set a timer on my phone each time

At least for today, the 2500w generator ran the AC just fine

Huh. If the number of learns do not change, maybe try re-learn and do it again. Mine did all 5 the first time through; I believe I waited about 10 minutes between cycles but no idea if that makes a difference. If you see your starting amps around 20 and running amps around 12 then it must have done the learn process although it could go lower if it completes the entire learn process.

Anyone with a Coleman Mach 1497-3601 AC Soft Start Control Kit? Made specifically for the 45000/47000/48000 series units.
