Question Best brand of soft start?

This topic isn't new, but I wanted to run a poll and I had to start a new thread to do that. I am trying to decide between soft start brands. So far I have found the following four brands that all seem pretty good. Could you vote for the one you prefer and then comment with any information for or against any of these? Thanks.

    1. Micro Aire EasyStart™ 364 Soft Starter - $299 - install kit not included https://www.microair.net/products/ea...r-conditioners

    2. SoftStartRV $319 - install kit included and free shipping https://www.softstartrv.com/choose-y...m_source=offer

    3. RVAC RVMS100S-16A RV/Marine Air Conditioner Soft Starter - $269 - install kit included and free shipping https://www.rvacsolutions.com/produc...-soft-starter/

    4. Spartan Power SpartanStart Soft Starter for RV Air Conditioners - $289 - claims to have everything needed to install, made in Australia https://spartanpower.com/product/spa...-spartanstart/

Coleman has their own soft start kit and not using it on my Coleman AC will void my warranty. So if I wanted to install on my ACs, I'd be giving up the balance of the two year warranty for any of the above brands.

I've used both the EasyStart and the SoftStartRv, while I voted for EasyStart in the poll (the install was slightly easier), both worked very well. SoftStartRV offered phone support for the installation which was helpful. EasyStart is a bit less money.

How would they know which kit you're using? It would be super easy to remove the kit if there were any warranty issues. I have the Coleman also, they've always been rock solid and I'm not expecting any issues. In fact, if I had to bet, the Coleman AC would be the longest surviving part of my coach.

Currently, only available to dealers and service centers so there would be a purchase or install record. Local dealer has never installed one. Looks to be the same price as SoftStartRV. I've been through the warranty piece with Airxcel on a thermostat - they were not very supportive -even for a thermostat. Kept pointing me back to dealer to replace.

From my internet research, the Micro-Air EasyStart is the original. SoftStart was designed by a former employee of Micro Aire, but lacks several features of the Micro-Air. It's a Micro-Air document, but there's some info here:

    http://www.micro-air.com/support-doc...tion_Sheet.pdf

Our Coleman Mach 15s are over two years old now so when I install something on both of them this fall, it will be Micro-Ari EasyStarts.

I went with the SoftStartRV's for our 2 Colemans. Not super concerned about the warranty issue. They were recommended by our dealer. That is all they install and had much good to say about them. Worked perfectly for us so far.

I'm going with the microair with Bluetooth to satisfy my inner geek. If softstart had that feature, I'd have a hard time to choose.

Had 2 of the Micro Aire Easy Starts I installed on our 297 RSTS two 15K Colemans. Took them off and will reinstall them on our 390RK. They did well on our 2 2000 Yamaha setup. Never had any issues, nice quiet AC starts with no genny overloads.

Not certain what is best, but I installed the Micro Aire EasyStart 364 on both of my A/C units. Easy to do. Install kit? Waste of money. Those that like to tinker will install it the way they want to. Double sided sticky tape? Not no but heck no. Screws hold longer than any adhesive.
