Front Awning On 2020 310GK Solitude

We are out with our Solitude and just had the awning out. We noticed when we put them in that the front awning fabric is starting to tear. Is this covered by warranty or are we past the time of warranty? Has anyone had something similiar happen? Our old fifth wheel camper was 20 years old and the awning still was in great shape. Is the fabric used not quality fabric in the awning? Are the awning easily replaced?

A Solitude owner just put up on his You Tube how he replaced his awning, they are also members of the forum - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPAzoQH7oMg
If you have ever had the wind yanking on the awning, it can tear the fabric.
Doesn't look too bad if you don't mind working on the roof or a ladder. Could be a real PITA if you don't have two people working together sliding the fabric through the track.
For temporary purposes you could try some of that awning fabric tear repair tape. I've seen it advertised but I have never used it. It might get you by until you figure out what you want to do.

As stated, your awning is well past its one year warranty. Also, today's awning fabrics are lighter weight and less durable than the fabrics used 20 - 40 years ago. Most mobile techs are adept at replacing the awnings and, last I asked, it runs between $400 and $500 with labor. DIY would be less, of course. The acrylic fabrics from ShadePro would be more expensive than OEM, but would last longer, too (that's what we'll replace our slide toppers with when the time comes).

rvawnings1.com is in Tampa and will replace the fabric with Sunbrella (Acrylic). A good friend is having his done next week. He tells me it is a great source for parts of all kinds too.
