    Lippert awning question

Pick up our new 2022 grand design imagine and brought it home after a couple rainy days I extended the awning out went back into the house and came back out about 15 minutes later and the left side arm of the awning was pitched so the awning was almost hitting the door when you opened the door I straightened it backup but then 15 minutes later it had dropped again about 6" not sure what the problem is could it be the strut I'm just not sure anybody out there with a suggestion

+1. Our 295RL has an arm adjustment bolt on each arm. Would recommend that as well.

Tighten the bolt 3 times. It won't tighten any further.

    Lippert awning question

Just purchased 2022 Imagine 2600rb. Extended the awning a couple of times after a rain and the awning arm nearest the rear of the camper extends straight out but after 15 minutes the arm pushes downward at least 4 to 5 inches. Down enough the awning scrapes the top of the door. I have tighten the bolt that connects the arms together. No help. I'm wondering if the strut could be bad.

Might pull out the arm adjustment screw and inspect it. Maybe its not locking in place when tightened? Or maybe not long enough to lock the arm tightly?

Was it raining when extended? It’s supposed to pitch when it rains to automatically dump.

It's designed to sag to shed water, it's the pivot point at the very bottom where the 2 small metal tubes come together, however it's supposed to be stiff enough to stay in place when you set it, mine won't

Mine pitches down as well, both sides, to the point where I hit my head. If it's straight out, I slide right under. Same awning on my 2021 Class C was just the opposite, it was so tight I couldn't pull it down nor could I loosen it up, was afraid I was going to break it

It has been tightened up to the point of no more, still sags, I haven't looked at it again recently

    Good luck

Just contacted the dealer's service department. They told me it could be a bad piston. This is brand new. You think it would have been tested at the factory.
